There Are No Mistakes In Woodworking

The beginings of my end-grain cutting board made from red oak and poplar.

So after a couple of weeks with my new woodworking hobby I’ve learned a few things I thought I’d share.

1.  Sanding before assembly makes things much easier.

2.  “Required” tools are just suggestions.

3.  Just because a tool wasn’t made to do something, doesn’t mean it can’t.

4.  Feet work almost as well as clamps.

5.  There are NO mistakes in woodworking…only character enhancements.
